You know that guilty feeling you get when you’ve put in a good workout at the gym, and you get the taste for something sweet, but you don’t want to ruin the results of your workout?

That’s how I feel sometimes.

I’m not a body builder, but I’ve always kept myself in shape, except for a couple of years in my early twenties when I spent way too much time singing karaoke, drinking beer and eating fast food. But those days are long gone.

Now I’m the CEO of London-based startup, MeetingRooms.com. When I moved to London nearly two years ago, one of the first things I noticed is how dapper the British are. I’ve always liked wearing business attire, but like my many of my fellow Americans across the pond, my wardrobe consisted of several oversized suits and shirts. If I wanted to be taken serious in boardrooms across the UK I had to seriously step up my game. I needed better fitting clothes. So my first weekend in London I went down to Oxford Street and upgraded my wardrobe with suits and shirts in the ‘fitted’ size. Big improvement!

No matter what your build, fitted clothes create better first impressions and give you extra confidence.

Buying new clothes is a quick way to polish your look. But I believe in continuous improvement and if I’m going to be wearing fitted clothes I want my body to complement my clothes. So I joined Virgin Active.

To look good in the board room I work just as hard in the weight room. But I’m still human and get cravings for sweet snacks. While I don’t want to offset the work I put in at the gym, the last thing I want to do is give up my sweet indulgences. Life is meant to be enjoyed right?

That’s why I’m excited about nutrition startup MuscleCake. I want my cake and eat it too (pun intended). The cofounders of MuscleCake are on a mission to ‘develop a tasty, nutritionally balanced brownie that’s good for you and tastes like real food.’ That’s music to make my taste buds dance, since the protein snacks on the market that I’ve tasted surely didn’t!

When I read Victoria Arnold’s (MuscleCake co-founder) blog post about her new startup I didn’t hesitate to contact her to learn more. And that’s when I decided I wanted to answer the call for brand ambassadors and help spread the word. I know Victoria from her previous startup, and if I know anything about her it’s that she will not stop until her mission is accomplished.

I can’t wait to place my order!

So go ahead, do your body (and taste buds) a favour, join me and sign up to be the first to taste these delicious treats! You can thank me later 😉
